Summer School 2023 update
Within the next two school days, we are going to be sending individual email invitations to the parents of about 25% of our student population in grades 1st - 8th for our upcoming Summer School. These invitations were based on our teachers prioritizing the students within their classrooms that they think would benefit most from Summer School. On next Thursday, 5/18/23, we will open up Summer School enrollment to the rest of our 1st-8th grade students on a first come, first served basis, until we hit our program’s capacity.
Like the previous two years, we are able to offer Summer School this year via our COVID-19 Learning Loss Recovery related plans.
MMCA Field Day?!
Our wonderful MMCA PTA is coordinating with our staff a Field Day event on Thursday morning, May 25th. We’re looking for some volunteers to help us with the event. A SignUp Genius link is available HERE with lots of opportunities to help us with the event.
State CAASPP Testing continues next week! Attendance is VERY important!
CAASPP is the state’s testing system for 3rd - 8th Grade students in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and for 5th/8th graders, Science. Testing for each grade level will take four days (six for 5th/8th graders). For the next two weeks, assuming they’re not sick, PLEASE make sure your child(ren) is at school.
Big Day of Giving THANK YOU’s!
THANK YOU to all of the families who contributed to BDOG - we raised over $5k for our Garden and Outdoor Classroom!
California Distinguished School update
The state has (finally) delivered our California Distinguished School plaque and flag! During teacher appreciation week, I just wanted to use this as a quick opportunity to thank all of the members of our instructional staff team that have worked so hard in making this accomplishment happen. THANK YOU!!!
Lost and Found
We have A LOT of stuff within our Lost and Found! We are going to leave these pictures in the Flyer for the last few weeks of school as a reminder for parents to come check out our Lost and Founds, and there’s a decent chance something that belongs to your child(ren) is there!
