GARDEN UPDATE
The Garden Committee needs your help to make Big Day of Giving 2025 successful for the students and the garden. Big Day of Giving is May 1st this year and is coming fast! Please review the available slots on our SIGN UP GENIUS and click on the button to sign up. Donations should be turned in to Mrs. Thomas in the Green Room or at the office by Thursday, April 10th, the last day before Spring Break. Big Day of Giving is our largest funding source for our garden. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!
Stay tuned for pics next week to see the progress that we have been making in the garden!
ART DOCENT UPDATE
Stop by the office and check out the art projects designed by our classroom art docents in Coral and Aqua rooms!
PTA UPDATE
We are celebrating Staff Appreciation Week early this year (traditionally held the 1st week in May)! The PTA has planned out the week of March 17th with some fun activities:

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on March 10, 11 and 12.
Online access to schedule conferences is open from Feb. 24th through March 6th.
How to schedule your child(ren)’s conference:
1. Go to this link beginning February 24th: https://www.canyoncreeksoftware.com/scheduler/ca/mariamontessori/index.cfm
2. “Maria Montessori Charter Academy” and press “Go”
3. There will be a prompt for a school password; the password is: mmca
4. The next screen will ask you to “enter the student’s ID” - we are NOT using student ID’s. Instead, press the “LOOKUP STUDENT ID” button.
5. After pressing the “look up student ID” button, you will be prompted to enter your child’s first name, last name, and birthdate and then press “LOOKUP”.
6. After your child has been identified, the program will ask you to do two things:
a. Select the classroom you want to schedule the conference for (note: ALL of our classrooms are listed by color names, not teacher names); and
b. If you have multiple children that you want to schedule a conference for, it will give you the opportunity to look up the next child (this will give you the opportunity to see multiple classroom conference schedules listed next to each other, making it convenient for your scheduling)
7. The program will take you through a couple of calendar screens, and your conference will be scheduled.
Please call the office if you have any questions or need assistance.
MMCA ATHLETICS UPDATE
Volleyball tryouts are tomorrow, Friday, 2/28 at 3:20pm to 4:45pm. Please be dressed and in the MPR ready to go. An additional tryout day will be Monday, 3/3 from 2pm to 3:15pm. The team roster will be posted Tuesday morning and practices start that afternoon at 3:20pm.
The boys soccer season will run April - May. We are looking for parents that may be interested in coaching our boys’ soccer team this spring. If interested, please email Mr. Boothby at brent@mmcharter.org.
