We had a couple more students test positive during the Thanksgiving Break, and the County Public Health Doctor has told us to expect that we will have more cases in the upcoming months ahead. We need to continue to be diligent - here is our weekly reminder about our basic COVID-19 protocols regarding student illness - a link to our current student illness protocols is available here.
Giving Tree Update - Sign Up Genius is LIVE for (4) students
Hello all,
After soliciting our families to see if we had any students in need, we have now set up a giving tree for several students within our community that could use some support this holiday season. For families interested in helping us out with this project, we have set up a SignUpGenius.
Some items on the SignUpGenius are pretty specific (ex. a specific toy), some are generic (ex. a gift card for a clothing store), all are based on what these students (and their families) have asked for. We would like to have all of our collections done by 12/16/21. Donations may be dropped off in the front office. This project will be done in partnership with our MMCA PTA - all donations will be tax deductible and 100% of donations received will be passed through to the students/families in need. Thank you in advance for your support!
Winter Care 2021 Update
We did have several families express an interest in Winter Care, but not quite enough for us to justify hosting it, thus we will NOT be hosting Winter Care this year. Our next extended care program will be our SUMMER CAMP 2022, which like previous years, will have (9) different weekly themes and will be starting in June. More information about Summer Camp will be coming out this spring. Sorry for the delay in this decision.
Lost and Found
The lost and found rack is overflowing! If your child has lost anything (jacket, lunchbox, etc), please check out the lost and found. Any items left after Thursday, 12/16 will be donated.
Eighth Grade Dedications in the Yearbook
Parents/Guardians of 8th graders, the 8th Grade Yearbook Dedication is a very special way to honor your child and their graduation. The Yearbook Committee asks that you submit a personal message of 100 words or less and one jpeg photo. Messages should include a closing that clearly states who is sending the message. Please include "8th grade dedication-" followed by your child's full name in the subject line of your email. Please submit your message and photo to mmcayb@gmail.com. For inspiration check out submissions in last year's yearbook.
Parent Volunteer Opportunity
We have a volunteer opportunity for a parent that may not be able to make it on campus to volunteer. We need a parent to take home the washcloths/towels used to clean up the lunch tables 1x per week, wash them, and return them to school. January Menus are Available in Boonli
The January menus are available (https://mmca.boonli.com). The weekly deadline is every Monday at 11:59 pm, however, we suggest ordering for the entire month. The first order deadline for January is during Winter Break (12/21). Place your orders early so you'll have one less thing to worry about over Winter Break.
