TWO IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR ALL FAMILIES:
Annual Income Survey and Annual Data Confirmation
DUE BY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH!
Annual Income Survey
With California’s “Local Control Funding Formula” for California public schools, parent income levels are one of the main components of the formula. Additionally, a number of opportunities exist to apply for grant funding that will benefit the children of the Maria Montessori Charter Academy. Many of these opportunities are based on the income levels of our families. There are also possible benefits for students within families that qualify for free/reduced lunch, including school clothes shopping with the Placer County Assistance League, free/reduced cost participation in our Before/Aftercare program, and more. Please be assured that this information is considered highly confidential.
It is very important that we collect surveys for every MMCA student. We will be following up with families until we have collected a survey from every family.

Annual Data Confirmation
Each Fall, all families need to log-in to the Aeries portal to verify that we have the current contact/emergency/health/photo permission information for all students. After logging in, go to the “Student Info” tab and select “Data Confirmation” and follow the easy steps under each tab to electronically update your student’s information.
This is important so that we have the correct information in case of an emergency.
Please complete the process for each student you have at MMCA by September 30th. AERIES LINK
Penny Wars!
Our families pulled out the stops over the course of two days, bringing our cash total raised to $1,420 and our online donations to $1,610!!!
Our current standings to start off our LAST day of the Coin Races are:
Purple Room: 17,291 Points
Yellow Room: 4,060 Points
Aqua Room: 1,752 Points
Coral Room: 659 Points
Red Room: -94 Points (negative)
Orange Room: -582 (negative)
Green Room: -1446 (negative)
Blue Room: -1511 (negative)
Which means, PURPLE ROOM won the popsicle party!
THURSDAY is the last day to donate and win it all: the bragging rights, the pizza party, and Snowie King!!!
Bring in those pennies, dollars, and checks to raise your classes points, and silver coins to sabotage other classes!
Don't forget you can send your class a Super Star Power Up online for 150 points per dollar donated! Online donations end at 4:30pm.
AFTERSCHOOL CLUBS START NEXT WEEK!
We are proud to offer 2 afterschool clubs starting next week: Art Club and Chess Club.
To sign up, please return the form(s) to the front office as soon as possible. Copies are available in the office.
