APEX Fun Run Update
Our APEX fundraising event raised over $25k for our MMCA PTA! THANK YOU to everyone who contributed.
Updated Family Contact Information/Student Health Information
If you haven’t done so already, please log-in and check your Aeries portal to verify that we have the current contact/emergency/health/photo permission information for your student. After logging in, go to the “Student Info” tab and select “Data Confirmation” and follow the easy steps under each tab to electronically update your student’s information.
This is important so that we have the correct information in case of an emergency. Please complete the process for each student you have at MMCA by February 26th. Please contact tfernandes@mmcharter.org with any log-in issues.
Re-Enrollment Time for 2024-25 School Year
It’s lottery time for new students who have applied to attend MMCA in the Fall! That means that we need to get an accurate count of our current students who will and will not be returning in the Fall so that we know how many new students we can accept in the lottery.
At this time, we are asking all families to complete the simple few question survey below:
Notice of Intent to Return to MMCA for 2024-25 School Year SurveyResponses are required by 2/26. Families who do not complete the survey by 2/26 risk losing their spot to a new student in the lottery.
Spring Conferences: 3/4, 3/5 and 3/6
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on March 4, 5, and 6th. There will be no school on March 7 and March 8.
You will have online access to schedule conferences from Feb 20th thru Feb 29th.
How to schedule your child(ren)’s conference:
1. Go to this link: https://www.canyoncreeksoftware.com/scheduler/ca/mariamontessori/index.cfm
2. “Maria Montessori Charter Academy” and press “Go”
3. There will be a prompt for a school password; the password is: mmca
4. The next screen will ask you to “enter the student’s ID” - we are NOT using student ID’s. Instead, press the “LOOKUP STUDENT ID” button.
5. After pressing the “look up student ID” button, you will be prompted to enter your child’s first name, last name, and birthdate and then press “LOOKUP”.
6. After your child has been identified, the program will ask you to do two things:
a. Select the classroom you want to schedule the conference for (note: ALL of our classrooms are listed by color names, not teacher names); and
b. If you have multiple children that you want to schedule a conference for, it will give you the opportunity to look up the next child (this will give you the opportunity to see multiple classroom conference schedules listed next to each other, making it convenient for your scheduling)
7. The program will take you through a couple of self-explanatory calendar screens, and your conference will be scheduled.

WatchDOGS Update
We are excited to welcome Sean Mahon, Ben Teague, Clint Wares, David McClain and Christopher Ebbers as our WatchDOGS next week! We still have spots for spring! Please sign up here to join your student(s) for a day or two (or more!) on campus as a WatchDOG.
6th Graders @ Sly Park
We miss having our 6th graders on campus this week, but they’re having a great time up at Sly Park!
MMCA Athletics Update
Next up is girls volleyball! Sign-ups will be posted towards the end of February, and tryouts will be during the week of March 4th. Boys Soccer will be in April-May!
Middle School Dance - March 15th, 6-8 pm
We are so excited for our 2nd Annual Middle School Dance! This dance would not be possible without our amazing MMCA staff and families. The MMCA PTA has created a sign-up genius. We definitely need all hands on deck to make this event a success!!!
Family Dining Out Fundraiser at Chipotle
Our MMCA PTA is hosting a family dining out fundraiser on March 6th, 4-8 pm. 33% of event sales will be donated back to MMCA! Join Us!
Spring Festival - Save the Date for Saturday, April 20th!
We are excited for our annual Spring Festival! Before the big day, we need to plan: we will need several items and volunteers to make this event a success. Check out our Sign Up Genius and see if you are able to help!
