GARDEN UPDATE
Our garden docent parent volunteers have been busy with our classrooms over the past several weeks with fun lessons involving winter fruit and painting new clay pots!
Also, BIG thank you to Ace Hardware in Loomis for donating and discounting several new tools to help our garden grow!
FOOD AT SCHOOL
We have noticed an uptick in students who are not eating lunch for a variety of reasons, or who order food from the “cafeteria” but never pick it up, and also students who are asking for food from the “cafeteria” when they are not on the list.
At MMCA:
● All students are provided the opportunity of two free meals, breakfast and lunch, during the school day through our on-site meal program. Sign up at https://mmca.boonli.com/login
● Students may bring food from home if that is preferred.
● Food deliveries from outside food services (ie. DoorDash, pizza delivery, etc.) are highly discouraged as they are disruptive to the office/lunch supervision staff and other students.
AFTERSCHOOL CLUB LEADERS NEEDED!
Our next Afterschool Club starts on 1/27 - Club Swiftie! Information was sent home last week regarding this exciting new club.
We have students interested in more club offerings! However, we need parent volunteers to lead the clubs. If you have an interest in leading a club (art, reading, music, sports, chess, board games, etc), please contact Mr. Baldonade (rbaldonade@mmcharter.org).
SWEETHEART FAMILY DANCE!
The dance is almost sold out! Make sure to buy your tickets asap! Tickets will not be sold at the door.
The MMCA PTA would like to invite our K-5 students and their "sweetheart" aka their parent/guardian to join us for a formal dance event.
January 25, 2025 ~ 5:30pm-8:00pm
Dance the night away with your K-5 student and enjoy pizza, popcorn bar, and a custom photo booth!
Formal wear is not required but is encouraged.
Ticketing as follows:
Duo- One Child and One Adult (required for entry)
Individual - (required for additional participants)
