We are ONE WEEK AWAY from our first day of school!

Kindergarten (and new 1st grade students) “Meet your teachers day”
On Tuesday, 8/13/24, from 10:00a to 11:00a, we are going to have a “Meet your teachers day” for all of our Kindergarten (and new 1st grade) students.
Class Rosters update
Our class rosters will be posted on our front office windows Monday, 8/12/24 after 4:00 p.m. Each summer, I receive several questions with regards to my strategies for setting a class roster. My overall goal in developing any class roster is to try to establish a balanced classroom looking at these primary factors: 1) behavior, 2) academic ability, 3) gender and 4) grade level. While I will take parent requests into consideration, there will be circumstances where I will not be able to honor all requests, particularly when doing so would lead to an unbalanced classroom.

The updated 2024-2025 school calendar is on the website HERE. Please note that we are continuing to use the Google Apps Calendar on our website for our current events calendar.
School Store Update:
We’ve updated the links on our School Store page to make both school supply orders and school uniform orders electronic. http://www.mmcharter.org/store. Specifically:
Student Supplies:
New parents: One of our traditions at MMCA has been to bulk buy the core student school supplies on behalf of our families. We’ve done this for two reasons:
To save you the time, energy and hassle of going to several different stores to pick up all of the items on our published school supplies list; and
To save you SIGNIFICANT $ by bulk-buying these supplies on your behalf.
Supplies are delivered right to your child’s classroom and will be waiting for them on the first day of school.
The 2024-2025 school supplies list information is now posted on our website. Depending on grade level, our ACTUAL cost for these supplies is approximately $95-$135 per student. We are going to continue the promotion we did last year related to school supplies:
