Weekly COVID-19 Update
Cumulative Case count: (58)
Several parents have asked if our COVID protocols will be changing soon. I believe they will be. We have been told that CDPH will be announcing new COVID-related rules for all California public schools on 2/28/22, including student masking. At the federal level, today the CDC announced that their new guidelines for most entities, including schools (and their students AND staff), will be based on case level spread within a county. Below is a screen capture of a CDC graphic that was shared with me today (preview: Placer County is currently ‘yellow’).
I don’t know what CDPH’s new guidance is going to look like on Monday - I hope the guidance is consistent with CDC’s. As soon as we learn of any relaxing of any COVID-related school rules, we’ll let you know ASAP.
For COVID testing locations within Placer County, click HERE. Additionally, the federal government announced a +/- ‘free tests for all’ program, and the link to this program is HERE.
REMINDER: Updated CDPH guidance has reduced the isolation requirement for individuals that have tested positive for COVID-19 to five days IF symptoms have resolved and they test negative on day five. Our basic parent-student COVID protocols are here.
