MMCA SummerCare 2011!

We are excited to announce that MMCA will be offering a 9-week enrichment summer care program from June 13^th to August 12^th! The program, which will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., will be lead by MMCA staff, including Emily Jennings, Adelita Bordelon, Jolyn Martin, Robyn Garcia, Julia Bass, Melanie Slade, Shelley Houdesheldt and Tami Lines.

The program will have NINE independently themed weeks, including:

1	Down by the Sea – Experience an under water adventure down by the sea!	June 13^th – June 17^th
2	Art Appreciation Week – Come and play, act, draw and experience everything about the different kinds of arts!	June 20^th – June 24^th
3	Fun in Space – Ready, set, blastoff! Come all you space cadets as we explore our galaxies!	June 27^th – July 1^st
4	Our Country, America – Wear your red, white & blue as we voyage across America’s heartland.	July 5^th – July 8^th
5	Around the World in Five Days – Come on an adventure with us as we learn, taste and experience five different continents during our trip around the world.	July 11^th – July 15^th
6	Exploring the Tropical Rainforests – Join us as we explore the animals, geography, food and art from the rain forest!	July 18^th – July 22^nd
7	Eco Week- Kids go green, get healthy, and learn how to reduce environmental impact!	July 25^th – July 29^th
8	African Safari – Come join us for a week as we explore jaguars, cheetahs, elephants and more!	August 1^st – August 5^th
9	Games Week – Bring your favorite game to play!	August 8^th – August 12^th

During each of our themed weeks, we will also have regular 1x per week activities, including:

Bikes/Scooter/Razor Day

Water Day

Obstacle Course/P.E. Day

Cooking Day

Movie Day

Note “Cooking” & “movie” days will be related to the weekly theme.

Some of our regular “daily” activities will include hiking, gardening, computer lab enrichment time, lunch & recess time, and physical activity time (ex., yoga).
